This is a very special wine, dry and
full-bodied, mahogany in colour with ochre tints. It is the result of combining
soleras from Domecq originating in the 18th
century and from Albert Gilbey from the
19th century.
It has been aged for 39 years and is categorised as
VORS.
It never came into contact with the
flor which was eliminated by the addition of grape alcohol. A process of narturing purely through
oxidation gives it its unmistakable characteristics.
Exceptionally perfumed, with herbal
notes, aromas of spices, nuts, hard woods, cocoa and tobacco. Served at room temperature
(18ºC), it is the perfect accompaniment to cured ham, meat
stews, red meats, game and strong cheeses.
An ideal accompaniment to the post-prandial enjoyment of smooth, light
cigars.
